Director of Safety(Fontana)
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Transportation Safety Director.
SUMMARY
The Director of Safety will lead and reinforce the safety culture of our company by providing strategy, leadership and subject matter expertise. The Director of Safety is responsible for promoting a strong workplace safety, health, and environmental program for the organization. Director of Safety, in partnership with the Safety Manager will drive the goal of” Accidents Free” through a proactive, safe work practice that utilizes prevention and mitigation techniques when assessing potential risks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Identify and implement best practices into Company’s standards to continuously improve safety practices.
- Responsible for supporting management and by partnering with the Regional Managers to foster a working environment that promotes safety and adherence to companies policies and procedures, standard operating procedures and federal/state regulations.
- Identify, reduce and eliminate worker injuries and workers compensation claims.
- Coordinate and energize employee training, including annual refresher & new hire training required by the company and all regulatory agencies (OSHA, DOT).
- Training, documenting, and maintaining DOT, and FMCSR requirements for all commercial fleet drivers, promoting over the road safety, HOS compliance, and cargo security.
- Perform monthly comprehensive facility safety audits to ensure continual improvement.
- Compile, analyze, and distribute weekly, monthly, and quarterly safety reports to all management.
- Actively participate on weekly conference calls regarding Safety and Compliance.
- Provide managers/supervisors the necessary training to obtain detailed descriptions, corrective actions and follow through to ensure corrective actions are implemented related to accidents, near misses, injuries or property damage.
- Accident reporting and investigations.
- Conduct Physical inspections of all work area, shops and buildings for any unsafe acts of hazards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must understand and manage the Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Regulations as they pertain to Commercial Truck Drivers and OSHA. Strong computer proficiency.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years Corporate and field management safety experience in the transportation field.
- Bachelor's Degree and/or progressive management work experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills • Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.

Safety Supervisor

We are currently looking for a full-time qualified Safety Supervisor with a Class A License for local work in our Northern California Terminals (Gilroy & Livermore Terminals)
SUMMARY
Coordinates safety program; instructs truck drivers in matters pertaining to traffic, safety and equipment policies and regulations; and promotes the maintenance of a safe, accident free and healthy work environment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Instructs drivers and other employees regarding company, state and federal regulations, penalties for infraction of rules, or safety and conservation measures.
- Rides with and follows drivers to detect errors in driving the vehicle or handling of cargo and to provide instruction on improving performance or to upgrade skills.
- Investigates accidents involving company trucks and/or employee injuries, questions witnesses and drivers to determine causes of accidents and makes adjustments in accordance with governmental regulatory agencies' and company procedures.
- Cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, law suits, and insurance investigations.
- Analyzes accident reports to determine the driver's need for additional training.
- Inspects or tours organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, and recommends corrective or preventative measures where indicated utilizing the CLC internal audit form.
- Keeps managers and employees alerted as to the hazards of working with toxic fumes, dangerous chemicals, and any other hazardous substances.
- Manager has overall responsibility for accident investigations. From time to time he may request assistance in the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperation in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, law suits, and insurance investigations.
- Complies and submits accident reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Coordinates training programs or media which will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote safety consciousness.
- Trains supervisors in such matters as safety and conservation of equipment and driving hazards.
- Confers with department heads concerning such problems as accident rates and abuse of equipment and recommends measures to improve safety and to conserve equipment.
- Performs road tests for applicants during the hiring process.
- Prepares and arranges safety exhibits and material for display, promotional work, industry conferences and exhibitions.
- Represents the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs.
- Works on resolving vehicle and traffic citations.
- Participates in field observation pertaining to safety and security.
- Maintains safety files and records.
- May perform duties as a backup driver.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MUST have CA-Drivers License Class A
- Medical Card
- Max 3 points on your MVR within the last 3 years
- Must be at least 25 years of age
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Some College (A.A./B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to four years minimum of Supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Class A Driver's License.
- Knowledge of the Federal Motor Carrier's Regulations
- Forklift certified
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA laws

Looking for Diesel mechanic with a minimum of three year’s experience performing P.M. and DOT inspections, brakes, A/C, tires and clutches.
Knowledge of Diesel Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems a plus, willing to substitute some experience for School.
Experience on newer fleet a plus.
Ability to work alone out of a service truck if required.
Minimum of two years experience with medium duty gas and diesel engines, Hydraulic brakes, Vacuum pumps, Smog and tune ups on 8 cylinder gas and diesel engines

The Complete Logistics Company (CLC) is an asset based, third party logistics provider specializing in all phases of transportation and supply chain management services, we are currently looking for full time Dispatcher in the Fontana area.
In this role, you will be based out of our Fontana, CA location and have responsibility for managing multiple driver assignments and multiple customer accounts.
SUMMARY:
Communicates work assignments to drivers and is responsible to monitor and verify the successful completion of the assignments. Documents driver work assignments on computer and other reports for proper billing and payroll systems and procedures. Manages personnel on a day-to-day basis and to make decisions on emergency and contingency situations and respond to customer requests while following CLC, State and Federal requirements by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Communication: Must have a strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to direct drivers.
- Client Skills: Understand client needs, anticipate changes, respond appropriately, offer solutions and have the ability to understand customer needs and appropriate solutions.
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Oracle (or a similar dispatch system). Must be able to learn new computer systems with ease.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Daily dispatch of drivers and equipment observing and enforcing DOT hours of service and safety regulations.
- Daily data entry into the computer Dispatch System.
- Daily customer communications including responding to customer phone inquiries, requests and complaints and providing the necessary the necessary customer service.
- Schedules daily delivery appointments
- Provides daily and weekly reporting of empty miles.
- Participates in the new hire process and assisting in the oversight of the process.
- Enforces compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations.
- Assists the Operations Manager and Regional Manager in supervision, training and development, and discipline of employees.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises 20 to 40 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems and provides employee relations support.
